At Wehling Investment Management, I provide independent portfolio management for individuals and families who value a disciplined, long-term approach to investing. I view stocks as ownership interests in real businesses, rather than pieces of paper to be traded based on predictions about where the market might go next.

I look for financially sound companies with durable competitive advantages, honest and capable management, and shares available at sensible prices. I make investment decisions personally, with particular attention to the possibility of permanent loss of capital. I don't attempt to predict short-term market movements, chase fashionable investments, or trade simply for the sake of activity.

There is nothing particularly exciting about this approach. But I believe the best way to build lasting wealth is to own excellent businesses at reasonable prices and allow compounding to do its work—patiently, deliberately, and without unnecessary interference.
